AWES Workshop 19, Torquay Vic, April 4-6, 2018

Planning is well advanced for the 19th Australasian Wind Engineering Workshop Torquay, Victoria, for April 4-6, 2018. 
These dates are in the week immediately after Easter next year.

The organising committee for AWES19 believe they have chosen an excellent location, Peppers The Sands is perched on the northern headland of Torquay at the start of The Great Ocean Road, Victoria.

Peppers The Sands is a contemporary, premium resort. Offering spectacular views of the surrounding greens, sand dunes and cliff-faced coast. AWES have reserved 20 rooms at the Resort for the duration of the workshop.


David Banks

From CPP in Fort Collins, USA, his talk will focus mainly on wind loading of racked solar panels.

Andy David

A structural engineer from Aurecon, who will talk on his design experience on some of the world’s tallest buildings, and

Harald Richter

from the Bureau of Meteorology, Melbourne, who will give a meteorologist’s perspective on severe local windstorms.


We are now calling for abstracts for the general sessions of AWES19.
